How to enable two sound cards in windows 7




















I have many reasons why I would want to output to multiple sound cards simultaneously. I know I am not the only one who was this problem based on a couple quick bing searches. I would like to be able to output sound to multiple sound cards at the same time instead of having to switch the "default device" in the audio panel all the time I want them ALL to be the default device.

I want to use my USB headset and my speakers at the same time. I know windows is capable of this because while one is playing I can "test" the other and they both play sound at the same time. If your PC's motherboard has integral soundcard functions on its the motherboard, this will likely already be configured as soundcard 0, and is a good candidate for playing Windows sounds and SpotCollector announcements. Problem solved - Found proper settings in the control panel sound panel. What was the end problem and your fix? Asking just in case someone stumbles across this thread I was wondering the same thing! What was the outcome?? I had to go into the sound card set up under "Control Panel" and tweak all the settings for each sound card under the recording tab. There was a lot of trial and error and experimenting to get it right. Under the recording tab, I checked "Listen to this device" and choose the correct speakers to listen to the input.

The sound tab for sound in the Win 10 settings page would not allow me to make any changes that would work and that is why I switched over to the "Control Panel" choice. ScanWorcester Member Feed Provider.
