The Dog in the Manger is a fable attributed to Aesop, concerning a dog who one afternoon lay down to sleep in the manger. On being awoken, he ferociously kept the cattle in the farm from eating the hay on which he chose to sleep, even though he was unable to eat it himself, leading an ox to mutter the moral of the fable: People often begrudge others what they cannot enjoy themselves.

On the one hand, it is doubtlessly a play that sort of critizises humans and the society of that time. On the other hand, it is just a love story told with great humour! I recommend it to everyone who loves plays or who wants to try reading something old but gold. Have fun! A sexy Spanish rom-com. Well, actually, the bare facts of the plot would sound sad and rather hopeless; but the story is told like it's funny, most of the time. There are some nice sonnets along the way, too.

Now lets smash that couple like potatos Second, be extremely jealous about this romance and let the person you chose to fall in love with you know that you feel jealous. If it's through a poem it's going to work even better but don't tell them you wrote it even though it's pretty obvious you did ok.
Third, obviously the other person is now in love with you and is going to leave their lover but you know, they're not enough for you so just throw their love through the window and smash their heart without mercy cause this is how we do. Fourth step, now they're going to try to come back with their previous partner but you're going to feel so jealous you're going to try to make your Teodoro come back with you again.
And do you know why? Because you're so much better than that other girl or boy that you just can't understand how they can forget you so easily so lets try to break the couple again. Repeat step 3 and 4 and 3 again and then go to step 5.
Fifth step, now that you've regained the love of your beloved one again, you're going to realize you just can't live without them but they're so beneath you that you're going to exile them so you don't have to suffer anymore because of them. Luckily for you there's a step number six in which magically somebody is going to think your partner is their son and that person is going to be insanely rich so your partner is going to inherit all that money!
Now they're not beneath you so you can live happily ever after while the ex of your partner is still crying cause you stole their beloved one. But who cares about the poor, right?
